The Book of Job was a story of an extremely pious man. Job had seven sons and three daughters. He was favored by God, and received much good fortune in his life. God asked Satan about Job. Satan answered that Job was only faithful because God gave many gifts to Job and made his life easy. God allowed Satan to test Job by taking everything but his life. First Satan gave Job rashes and disease. Then he made Job's house collapse with all of his children inside of it. He then killed all of Job's crops and livestock. Job's wife told him that God no longer loved him, and that he should renounce him. Job responded "Naked I came out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return: Lord has given, and Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of Lord"
